Farmor’s Sixth Form students celebrated a brilliant set of A level results today.  Despite an incredibly tough two years and not having had any prior experience of formal exams, their hard work and resilience has paid off and, after a record number of university applications this year, 88% gained their first choice university place and are now looking forward to starting their studies in September.

We are incredibly proud of the whole year group: they have achieved far more than just grades. Despite the pandemic, they have gone out competed in sports competitions, taken part in concerts, climbed mountains and record numbers completed their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. The resilience they have shown under such conditions is remarkable; they are exceptional, inspiring, and talented young people. Congratulations to them all!

The celebrations today extended to the Year 12 students who were also delighted to collect their Extended Project Qualification results. Almost a third of the year group took this AS qualification this year in addition to their A level studies and 96% gained A*-C with 60% A*-A. We look forward to more impressive results from them next year.
