Pastoral care

One of the strengths of our Sixth Form is that the level of pastoral care available is second to none. You will be assigned a tutor who is a senior member of staff. Tutor groups are small and you will see your tutor every morning as well as having regular one-to-one meetings to discuss your progress and ambitions. Equally, teaching staff offer one-to-one tutorials if you are finding things difficult or need to catch up. There is lots of support therefore to help you develop the skills to be highly successful.

In addition, we have Clare Orgill, our Sixth Form Pastoral Administrator. She works in the LRC for three days. She is also available for a cup of tea and chat if you have any problem, worry or concern. And that’s there for parents too if you have a question or just need some information.

There is always a member of the Sixth Form Team around to ask and we have an open-door policy - if the door is open, come in and there will always be a warm welcome and a ready listener. If you need some advice about any aspect of A levels, careers, personal problems or mental or physical health we can help.  As well as all these daily sources of support, we can refer you for confidential counselling or to other agencies if you need help or support.
