For an overview of A Level results, here is our press release:
Students at Farmor’s Sixth Form celebrated another fantastic year of A level results this morning. There was a real buzz of delight as students collected their results in the purpose-built Learning Resource Centre where they had studied so hard only a few short months ago. Many stayed to share the celebrations as well as their plans for the future whether packing for university, starting apprenticeships and training or heading off across the globe on gap years.
Staff came in the share the moment and offer congratulations. After two years of working closely together in such small classes, the pleasure of success is certainly mutually shared.
Despite the new tougher A levels, the percentage of A* grades have gone up this year and a third of students achieved at least one A /A* grade. 44% of grades were at A*-B and the overall pass rate remained strong at almost 99%. Students who had earned places at Oxford and Cambridge and on medical courses were delighted to have ‘made the grade’ and have their places confirmed. Many students were thrilled to have done better than they expected.
