Welcome
Our Sixth Form Information Evening will be held on Thursday 19th November 2009 from 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Farmor's School is a successful school that values individuals, their skills and abilities.
We seek to develop in every young person the skills and attributes which will enable them to be successful in wider society. It is also important that students learn to respect others and that they are tolerant of individual differences. It is vital that they respect the environment and the world in which we live.
Teaching and learning are at the centre of everything we do at Farmor's School. The school has a highly qualified and energetic staff who work tirelessly in the pursuit of excellence for all our students. I am delighted that our commitment to teaching and learning and to the well-being of all our students was recognised by Ofsted when the school was inspected in November 2006. As a result of the inspection, Farmor’s was judged an outstanding school. We are obviously very proud of this. The examination results this year show just how successful the school is: the A level pass rate was 98%. 50% of those passes at A and B grade. At GCSE 75% of our students passed five or more exams at A*- C grade, 68% of students achieved five or more A*- C including Maths and English..
We are determined to build on these successes and look forward to working with parents to provide for our young people a school that is challenging, rigorous, and which will enable everyone to reach their potential.
If you would like to discuss anything in this prospectus or you would like to find out more about the School, please contact me so that we can arrange a mutually convenient appointment.
