  • STEM @ Farmor's

    29 February 24

On Wednesday a lucky group of forty Year 8 students took part in an exciting STEM focussed day at Williams F1 HQ. With an aim to encourage as many students as possible to consider a career in a STEM related field, students got to see real world engineering through a guided tour of their heritage museum, a thoroughly enjoyable (and competitive) session on their Esports simulators where they had to think strategically to tackle different courses and a group work activity where they were all engineers for the afternoon. It was a really great trip that we hope to run again next year!

  • Eco Club Willow Weaving Workshop

    22 February 24

    Eco Club Willow Weaving Workshop

Last term the eco club (Environ) were successful in securing funding from Fairford Town Council to support a project to create a 'living willow' structure on the school site. On the day the students got stuck into the tasks and manged to finish the whole structure by the end of the day. The lady who was working with the students said they were a pleasure to work with! The result of this will be a 3m diameter, 2m high willow 'tepee' that will help support increased biodiversity and also promote rural skills.
