Advice and guidance

Farmor’s School has a clear strategy for providing Careers advice for students across the school, from Y7 through to 6th Form. Our focus and aim is to ensure that every student has a wide selection of opportunities to view and identify their career path options as they progress through the school and have advice and support when making these decisions.

We stress the importance of having all the information to hand to ensure students are able to make the best career options available to them and this is obtained through a number of steps:

  • Engagement with employers and potential employer opportunities
  • Work Experience
  • Careers Guidance Advice
  • Online careers assessments
  • Advice on CV writing and Interview skills
  • Annual Career Convention
  • Weekly Careers Bulletins
  • Updated Careers webpage
  • Weekly Speakers programme (6th form)
  • Dedicated Careers Advisor
