On the 14th July, 22 students and 6 staff set out to climb three Welsh mountains, known as the 'Welsh 3 Peaks'. They started climbing Snowdon at 8pm, ascending in thick cloud and drizzle and descending in the dark, arriving back at the minibuses just after midnight. After a brief sleep and drive south, the group scaled Cadair Idris in very poor conditions. Wet through, there was a quick stop for fish and chips before heading to Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons. All students and staff completed the final peak almost exactly 24 hours after starting. In total, the 3 peaks involved over 15 miles of distance and 1500m of ascent in 10 hours of walking. Congratulations to all involved.
