Sixth Form Admissions

Entry criteria

We celebrate the E grades as fully as the A* grades at A level. The entry criteria, however, are to prevent you from making the wrong decision. A levels are challenging and we need to ensure that you have a good chance of success. Based on past experiences we have established the following criteria:
  • A level 4 in English and Maths plus at least 3 more C grades at GCSE
  • C grades or above in the subjects you are wishing to study at A level though a B grade would be desirable.
  • Please note that some subjects have specific entry requirements, see the Subject Information pages.
