Course Content

You will study a selection of fiction and non-fiction from an anthology as well as two prose texts and a modern play with an option to study poetry as well. A 3000-word coursework essay in Y13 makes up 20% of the final grade. This comprises original writing and a commentary on your creative process. You will work independently on this with tutorial support from staff.

Exams: two exams at the end of Y13 making up 80% of the final grade.

Exam Board: Edexcel

A*-B 78% | A*-C: 89% | A*-E: 100%

Students on average achieved over half a grade above their predicted grades based on prior GCSE attainment this year.
