Course Content

This course offers a solid foundation in all aspects of Chemistry. You will explore areas of study that include Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. In addition, you will develop a variety of practical skills, including use of scientific equipment, report writing, communication, logical thinking and reasoning as wells researching and managing risk through a range of activities.

Exam Board AQA

Exams 3 exams at the end of Y13 plus 12 practical assessments graded at pass/fail.

Results 2022

A*-A 36% | A*-C 86% | A*-E 100%

Entry requirements

Sixth Form entry criteria plus a minimum GCSE grade 5 6 in Double Science or 5 5 6 in Triple Science (6 in Chemistry) + grade 6 in Maths. If grade 5 in Maths, Core Maths should be taken in addition.
