Environ Eco-Club meets weekly and is open to all year groups.
Our main focus this year is improving biodiversity across the school site. We are busy planting trees previously grown from seeds found on the site to supplement the hedging pack for the Woodland Trust that we planted in spring 2025.
Our plans this academic year include introducing more planters and mini-bog gardens in the 'grey' areas near classrooms. We are aiming to increase the bio diversity by 10% to meet the requirements set during the bid for the astro-turf
Alongside this we continue to work in the school polytunnel; developing our green-fingered skills and growing produce to sell for seed money! In addition to our seed money we were also lucky enough to recieve a grant this year from the Ernest Cook Trust which we are carefully spending on new equipment, soil improvement and hot composter
