Year 9 GCSE Choices

From January to May, Year 9 students are given a wealth of information about the courses they can choose for studying in Years 10 and 11. There is a wide range of courses to choose from, including courses that they have not studied in Years 7, 8 or 9. It is important that students choose the options that interest them and with which they will have the most success.

All the information about the options process is set out below to help students and parents to make positive informed decisions.

At Farmor’s School our aims are for students to:

  • study courses that suit their interests and aspirations
  • follow a curriculum that is both broad and balanced
  • be given the opportunity to focus on their strengths and to explore new areas.
