Record Breaking Readathon results!
Farmor's School has had a record breaking Readathon week! Our annual Readathon week is a school wide project, where students and staff read as much as possible in one week, raising money for ReadforGood's flagship hospital programme. A programme which brings books and professional storyteller visits into our local children's hospitals. Bringing comfort and joy to children during their time in hospitals.
As a school community we tracked 36,820 reading minutes! And since our first ever Readathon have raised £3251 for ReadforGood!
Readathon has inclusivity at it's heart, because students are tracking how many minutes they spend reading, not how many books they read. And have complete freedom to choose what they read, so everyone can get involved. A huge thank you to ReadforGood who have kindly rewarded our students efforts and given us ten £10 national book tokens which will be handed to out to this year's Readathon champions at the end of year assembly.
