At the end of January, we were very lucky to be included in the pilot scheme for Stroud Book Festival on tour. We invited Deer Park School to join us for the event at which our year 7 students welcomed award winning author Tanya Landman! Tanya shared what led her to a career as an author and what inspires her stories. After the event students were able to meet Tanya to get their books signed. Students behaved impeccably and showed great enthusiasm and engagement with her talk and there was a real buzz in school afterwards. A special thankyou to Stroud Book Festival and the Yellow Lighted Bookshop for their support in bringing this event to Farmor's.
